I briefly mentioned in my 11/23/08 post about K changing Grupas. I'd like to elaborate. A few weeks ago, another couple traveling to Russia to meet their referral found out they were not only going to Yekaterinburg, but to Orphanage #6. As luck would have it, they found my blog and we connected. Incredible how the internet has joined adoptive parents all over the world who otherwise would never have had the opportunity to meet.
I asked them to take a picture of K if, by chance, their little one was in Grupa 5, and if they were allowed to do so by the Orphanage Caregivers. Boy did I cry when Trish and Tony sent us an e-mail with 3 pictures of K. She was kinda disshevled as they had "plucked" her out of her room as she was going down for a nap but we didn't care. We got to see our little girl. JD and I still can't thank Trish and Tony enough... Thank you again!
One thing I immediately noticed (besides her lack of smile ~ but that's our angel --- Little Miss Serious) was the "2" on her dress. "Wait - she's in Grupa 5! Why the 2?" Trish informed me that due to her age (22 months), K moved to a different Grupa -- Grupa #2. *sigh* Our little girl is moving up in Grupas....now it's time to move her OUT, don't ya think?!

Our Little Russian Angel ~ how's that for a sneak peek?!
Look how worn out those fancy ladybug sandals are. Some might call the dress a schmata but I call the look priceless! :)

She is beautiful! :)
OMG, I'm seriously crying. It's truly amazing how the internet has brought so many of us together. I can't believe that Tony and Trish just so happened to be at that same orphanage. I'm so happy that you were able to get some pics of her, what a blessing. Thank you Tony and Trish!
I want her to come home now! Looking forward to seeing the rest of her one day soon!
Hi Laura, what a tease! What you shared of her is beautiful! I am hoping and praying all the time for you that Brent will call you with travel dates for trip 2. Just think of what Christmas will be like next year. This one will be tough for you, I know.....there are so many amazing things to look forward! I think of you often! Take care, Donna D.
Your patience and dedication is so admirable! I trly help that all goes smoothly for you after all of this. Hoping next Christmas she'll be "home" with you guys to celebrate together. Thanks for the blog; it's so nice to know what's happening.
That is amazing that you were able to connect with that couple. Those pictures must be priceless. What a Christmas present. Our kids certainly are growing up too fast, without us. Hopefully we will get them home very soon.

In Chinese adoption, ladybugs are considered good luck (not sure why)... so maybe it works for Russian adoptions, too. I hope you bring her home soon and can't wait to meet her!!
Laura, I think she looks perfect to me. Maggie Grace was always very serious when she was young; but, now she's nothing like that. She wants to tickled all the time and have lull-a-byes sung to her before she goes to bed. Once she gets home, with you and Jon and feels the love she will be at peace. Godspeed to K., Laura and Jon.
Hi Laura,
Just thinking of you and wanting to wish you a Merry Christmas. I know this one will be tough as you miss your Special K so very much... just wanted to remind you that you won't ever have to spend your holiday's without her again!!!! Watch out Christmas next year....!!!!!!!! Praying for a court date for you soon!!! Love, Donna
