Well this year it's official -- I had to share JD on Valentine's Day with the other love of his life. And we all know who the other girl is!
In the 27+ years that we have been together, I have never heard JD say "I love you so much" as he does now on a daily basis to Kristina. And my heart....it is warmed beyond belief when I watch the two of them together. For years, JD has said "Hey, why don't you try and dye your hair blonde" and I've always responded "You'll have to trade me in for another model if you want blonde." Well, now he has the best of both worlds.
Our Valentine's Stash: Flowers for Mama, See's Chocolate hearts for Papa, and a gift bag of goodies for Kristina. Plus lots of gushy cards.
Kristina taking time to smell the roses.
A sticker book of "bakas" - how cool!
Special First Valentine's Day gift for Kristina: Heart necklace with matryoshka doll.
The Evolution of our Love...
This is the first day Kristina met her Papa (Sept. 24, 2008 - Trip #1)...
...and the first day Kristina met her Mama. Ever since, Kristina has been engrained in our hearts!
Reaching out for Papa...and never letting go. April 2009 - Trip #2.
Smiles, everyone! April 2009 - Trip #2
It's so much fun playing around with Papa.
Only someone who truly cares about you will tell you you have something in your teeth or dirt on your forehead. "No, baby -- it's ashes for Ash Wednesday!"
Love is spelled: F-A-M-I-L-Y.

For all the time you spend on this blog, those who know and love you truly appreciate it; especially those of us who are far away from you and don't see you nearly as often as we'd like. The photos and updates are precious, and as fellow parents, we are ecstatic that you and Jon are able to experience the pain and absolute pleasure of raising a child. You are so lucky to have found each other.
Big hugs to all and miss you all much,
Team Johnson
Happy Valentine's Day! So fun to look back and see how much she's grown and changed in the past year and a half. What a happy family!

Laura,
Your post brought tears to my eyes -- of happiness -- I love the way you approach every single day -- full of love and boasting of that love to the world... So many in this world should take lessons from you, JD, and your love for each other and Kristina -- I love the detail you put into your lives, like ordering in advance a special valentine necklace for your little love that she can cherish forever, etc... What a gift of radiant love you all are to those of us who have the pleasure and honor of knowing you -- Who cares if you are late -- your posts are amazing and worth the wait! Hope to see you guys really soon! Love from Philly! :)
Great photos. It is truly amazing how much our kiddos have changed over the year. Looks like you had a wonderful Valentine's Day. Love really is FAMILY! Oh, and I loved being shared this Valentine's Day. I have two wonderful Valentines!
