Now I awake to a little girl either snuggling next to me, prying my eyelids open, or pulling off the covers and moving my legs off the side of the bed to get up! A hot breakfast equates to instant oatmeal or a scrambled egg but usually we settle for Cheerios.
Life is grand and I wish I could hit "pause" just so I could enjoy it alittle longer. The next week will be filled with finding daycare for Kristina as I prepare to go back to work in August (3rd week) when my Family Leave is up. Jon is looking into taking advantage of some Family Leave time, as well.
My great accomplishment today was finally uploading the video of Kristina talking (and talking --- 5 minutes worth!). If you go to the Motor Mouth post (or simply click here), you'll get an earful and hopefully a smile from it. :)

You have made Papa and me so happy the last few months that words fail me to describe just how happy. You are growing, changing, and simply blossoming into the beautiful little girl we love to love. First of all, she could not be more adorable with her little sunglasses on her head! I love when she cracks herself up with what she was saying. I could just eat her up with a spoon!
Laura, I just loved watching you and Kristina on the vidoe. She has a lot to say to you. You communicate wonderfully together. My heart just melted. I can see you were just meant to be her mommy. She is just precious. Thanks for sharing.

Laura, WOW, i am stunned by the picture -- she is just maturing and looking so amazingly happy and healthy -- clearly thriving under your love and Cali sunshine :) it is just awesome to watch you glow and enjoy the blessings -- they are that, aren't they? sometimes i need to literally stop myself from staring or people might think i was a little nuts...
