I find it so exciting when I hear of more prospective adoptive parents travelling to go bring their children home. Last November, Trish and Tony went to Ekaterinburg to meet for the first time one of the two girls they are bringing home. As it turned out, S was in the same Orphanage with Kristina.
Trish and Tony did us the favor of taking some pictures of Kristina. I'll post those pics at the end of this entry. In April and May, we were able to repay the favor and take several pictures and videos of S to hold Trish and Tony over while they still awaited a court date. (E is located in a different Orphanage so, unfortunately, we couldn't get pictures of her.)
Well, today -- Trish and Tony are enroute to Ekaterinburg to bring their girls home. They will be there for a month. Ekaterinburg holds a very dear place in our hearts and we wish Trish and Tony much joy as they move full throttle into a family of 4. I thought diving in head-first with a 2 year old has been challenging...Trish and Tony's little girls are 3 y.o. and 2 y.o.!!!!
Look at the difference a few months (and TLC) can do:

Note: I'm still working on a "June Overview" since we had such an "adventure-packed" month and I didn't have the time to post many entries.
I did just post an entry I started several weeks ago when Laura and friends threw us a "Welcoming Shower." Details and pictures can be found by clicking here. Also, I finally found some time to post some pictures of the shower that my wonderful co-workers threw for us back in April. Pictures of the Cedars Shower can be found by clicking here.

It is truly amazing what love and care can do for these babies!! She is beautiful and looks so happy.
I love the photos from the shower - it looks like a great day :)
it truly is amazing how much they blossom when they are with their forever family! :) she is beautiful.
I can see a huge difference!
Wow - what a difference LOVE makes. How cool to have both pictures and be able to see just how much you and JD have impacted her in such a relatively short amount of time. She just sparkles in her second picture. She was cute in the first picture, but she looked very timid and unsure... I am just so happy things have gone so well. All three of you deserve nothing but the best.
She looks so happy and loved. What a difference. Isn't life so full these days, it's a miracle that we are finally mothers. I'm so happy for you Laura!
