I barely had time to get my shoes and jacket off when they brought in Kristina...our daughter!!!! We just couldn't wait to shower her with hugs and kisses...and she was all smiles. The music/dance teacher was there in the room so in our broken Russian, we asked her to take our picture. At some point, I'll post the picture here (probably on the 13th of May...unless I can do something fancy/schmancy with blocking out her sweet face).
We got to play for about 1.5 hours. For the first time, we heard her singing. Not sure what it was but it was very sweet. Also, for the first time, she buried the back of her head into the side of my neck and just rested her head there on my shoulder while singing for a bit. She then looked at me, gave me kisses, and then gave Papa kisses. I had put the video function "ON" on our camera so I even caught it on video. For the last day, I have watched the video no less than 1o times!
We were told that we wouldn't be able to visit her Friday, Saturday, nor Sunday because of the May Day holiday but later found out from our coordinator that we can't go Friday but can return on Saturday and Sunday. Our agency reps doesn't take "no" for an answer ~ they just say "when can we come...am or pm?" instead of asking "can we come?". Can't wait to see her Saturday!!
Kristina dressed as if she was already in sunny So. California!
After our 40-minute drive home, it started to rain. But we had a very enjoyable evening with Beth -- here from Massachusetts to meet her little one for the first time. We met for dinner and shared pictures and laughs. Beth was a nice dose of home and we wish her a speedy return to Ekat!
Since it was raining, we ventured to Dr. Scotch's Pub for dinner with Beth -- roughly the 1/2 way point between us and the Park Inn where she was staying.
Not sure how we'll get through tomorrow without our daily dose of Kristina but we have a "few" pictures to look at in the meantime.... ;)

I HAVE ENJOYED READING YOUR BLOG. CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR LITTLE GIRL. HEIDI CORAL SPRINGS/ FLORIDA
It sounds like a fantastic visit!! The nuzzles and kisses part brought tears to my eyes - how very sweet. I can't wait to see pictures of your beautiful daughter.
Isn't it a wonderful feeling when you can hold her knowing she is your daughter? I loved every minute of our visit after the court decision, except for the 2 hour drive. I'm so excited for you!

How sweet! Sorry to hear you had to take a day off from seeing your little one, but I love hearing about your other experiences in Ekat as well. What are you doing with your days, aside from your visits?
We have to wait until May 13th??? You won't get her until then??? I thought the "extended" period you spent in advance of court counted, since your court date was switched. I am anxious for her to be with you full time, so I can only imagaine how anxious you must be!!!
Finally, (now that I've written a novel) the thing that I found most touching about your last 2 posts is that you are calling her by name. It is so much more personal and meaningful to hear her beautiful name when you speak of her.
Enjoy and God bless...
