So JD comes home from work and gets on the computer. I was watching TV and he says "Hey, there's an e-mail from Michelle [our US agency coordinator] entitled 'Court Date'." I literally jumped up then realized --- it's LATE....Michelle has been gone from the office for hours. Hey - that's not a funny April Fools Day joke!!!

The truth of the matter is...there is no news. I received the DHL tracking number and have been checking the status of our p/w regularly -- sometimes hourly. Like I mentioned in my last post, delivery was attempted Tuesday but our Russian Coordinator was not available. Wednesday: "Awaiting pick-up as requested by recipient." The package sat at the DHL facility all day Wednesday.
It's after 10:30am Thursday in Ekat and our p/w sits there still. I have faith that our Russian Coordinator will pick it up today, review it and bring it to the judge Friday. If not, it will be a loooong weekend.
Note to other PAPs (prospective adoptive parents): Don't ask for the tracking number unless you don't mind driving yourself CRAZY!!!!!! :)

Ugh! Not a funny April Fool. I'd have socked Mike if he did that one. I can certainly relate to the tracking numbers situation. I did WAY too much of that through FedEx.
I had hoped you would hear something by now. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

laura...i have a feeling that you will get a call on friday....you are so close and it's going to happen. try not to drive yourself too crazy! i'm sending positive thoughts your way :)
